Six Mansfield ISD schools have been selected as Texas Honor Roll schools by Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Institute for Productivity in Education (IPE).
Texas Honor Roll schools are chosen based on consistent high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement over time and reduction in achievement gaps between student groups. For high schools, Honor Roll recognition includes high college readiness in students.
The 2017-18 MISD Texas Honor Roll schools are:
- Charlotte Anderson Elementary School
- Louise Cabaniss Elementary School
- Thelma Jones Elementary School
- Nancy Neal Elementary School
- Tarver-Rendon Elementary School
- Frontier High School
The designations are based on 2016-17 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) results.
This year, the Texas Honor Roll recognized 729 higher performing schools that are distinguished for their academic achievement and for closing achievement gaps. More information about the Texas Honor Roll is available here.
