2025-2026 Proof of Residence Submission
Before school starts in August, all MISD returning students are required to provide proof of residence (POR).
Families with returning students have two options:
- You may take your proof of residence to your student’s 2025-2026 campus office; or
- You may email your proof of residence to your student’s 2025-2026 campus at:
Orr_POR@misdmail.org- Email must include with your student’s first & last name and student ID number.
PLEASE NOTE: Each campus has their own email address, so if you have multiple students at different campuses, you will need to send a separate POR to each campus’ email.
Satisfactory proof of residence includes:
- Electric, Gas, or Water Bill – with May service dates or later
- Disconnection notices are not allowed
- Must show a service address
Newly Established Residency in last 30 days includes:
- Lease Agreement
- The lease agreement may be acceptable if it is new (30 days or less).
- Is used when you do not have a utility bill and the lease states bills are paid by lessor.
- Other documentation may be requested when a utility bill is not available.
- Lease agreements must show a beginning and ending date and the address of the property with signatures from both the lessor and lessee.
- Lease agreement must list the student occupants.
Families who have a contract on a home that will close within 45 days of the beginning of school, will need to confer with Student Services on applicable Board Policies and guidelines for enrollment.
Failure to provide the necessary documentation may result in enrollment delays or withdrawal from school.
2025-2026 Schedule Pickup
Thursday, August 7, 4PM-7PM
This is a come-and-go event where you can pick up your student’s class schedule and walk the building to locate their classrooms. While teachers will not be available for meetings that evening, you are encouraged to walk your student’s schedule together and familiarize yourselves with the campus.
Please note: Your student’s schedule will only be released if the following requirements have been met:
- Registration is complete in Skyward
- Returning Student Registration (for students who completed the last school year in MISD)
- New Student Registration (for new enrollees to MISD)
- Proof of Residence (POR) has been submitted
- Required for all students
- If you have not submitted a POR, please email it to Orr_POR@misdmail.org
- Students must have cleared all outstanding fees.
If you're unable to attend this event, you're welcome to stop by the campus during the following times to pick up your student’s schedule:
- Friday, August 9
- Monday, August 12
- Tuesday, August 13
Anytime between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM
2025-2026 Orientation/Camp
Camp is designed for students who will be new to Mary Orr Intermediate and provides an opportunity for them to become familiar with the building and meet some of their teachers. Register your student here: 2025 Tiger Camp Registration

School Supplies:
If you ordered the bulk school supplies, those boxes will be available for pick up at Schedule Pickup on August 7.
PE Uniform:
All students are required to dress out for PE by wearing the official Mary Orr PE gym shorts and shirt. These items will be available for purchase beginning in July.
- Each student must have at least one gym shirt and one pair of gym shorts.
- A gym bag is optional and available for purchase.
- Orders will be delivered to students approximately one week after school begins.
- Sample sizes will be available to view during Schedule Pickup.
SmartTag Badge:
As part of the dress code, all students will be required to wear a SmartTag badge on a lanyard, which will be provided on the first day of school.
The SmartTag serves multiple purposes, including:
- Access to the student’s lunch account
- Access to the library
- Check-in and check-off for bus riders (if eligible)
Mary Orr will provide one free replacement if a SmartTag is lost. Any additional replacements will incur a $5 fee, which will be charged to the student’s Skyward account.
